EDWARDSVILLE, ILL. — For Prairie Farms Dairy’s newest product, the cooperative emphasized protein and portability, launching a cottage cheese line called ProPack Snack.
The dairy manufacturer said it created the high-protein cottage cheese snacks for health-conscious consumers who want to fuel active lifestyles.
Sold in 4 oz cups by Prairie Farms and its Hiland Dairy Foods company, ProPack Snack contains 12 grams of protein per serving.
In a joint statement, Prairie Farms chief executive officer and executive vice president Matt McClelland, and Hiland Dairy president Rick Beaman called the product innovative, and said it reflected the companies’ commitment to “providing high-quality dairy options that cater to modern consumers’ lifestyles.”
They added: "Whether you’re looking for a post-workout snack or a satisfying mid-day boost, ProPack Snack delivers protein-packed goodness without compromising on taste."
Debuting this month, ProPack Snack will be sold at select retailers, as well as convenience stores, schools, institutions and foodservice outlets, Prairie Farms said. Expanded distribution is planned for the remainder of 2025, and the dairy company said the launch will include an integrated marketing campaign for both brands.
