TORONTO — Netherlands-based goat milk infant formula brand Kabrita made its Canadian debut with the arrival of its formula for babies between 0 to 12 months.
Kabrita shared that its Goat Milk-Based Infant Formula received approval from Health Canada, making the product available to consumers throughout Canada for the first time.
The rollout began with the formula being made available via Walmart and Amazon, and Kabrita said its distribution will incorporate other major retailers this year.
Owned by Dutch dairy company Ausnutria, Kabrita said it developed the grass-fed goat milk-based formula to be “gentle, easy to digest” and support healthy growth for infants. Kabrita added that the formula features 25 vitamins and minerals, as well as nutrients such as DHA, ARA and prebiotics.
This past summer, Kabrita entered the Canada market with its toddler formula.
“We are thrilled to expand our product offerings in Canada and bring our infant formula and its scientifically-backed benefits to Canadian families,” Kabrita North America director of medical and scientific affairs Elieke Kearns said. “Parents are increasingly looking for gentle, high-quality nutrition options for their babies, and our infant formula delivers exactly that.”
The company sells Kabrita Goat Milk-Based Infant Formula in cannisters of 800 grams or 400 grams.
