PLYMOUTH, WIS. — Artisan cheese maker Sartori Cheese crafted snack-sized versions of a couple of its popular flavors for the launch of its new Cheese Bites line.
Sartori said a multiyear process that included consumer research and requests helped its master cheesemakers develop the debut varieties, MontAmoré Cheddar and Italian Herb Cheddar.
Previously available in bricks of cheese, the flavors now may be purchased in 4.5 oz packages that contain six miniature wheels of cheese.
"We're always looking to help our customers enjoy Sartori cheeses in ways that best fit with their busy lives," chief executive officer Bert Sartori said. "We've been perfecting these Cheese Bites for quite a while, and we're happy that people will now be able to more easily enjoy their favorite Sartori cheese on the go."
The company described the MontAmoré Cheddar flavor as a “creamy white cheddar with robust notes of aged Parmesan,” and the Italian Herb Cheddar variety as a “bold cheddar packed with a savory blend of fresh herbs, tangy lemon and warm Aleppo pepper.”
Sartori’s Master Cheesemakers shared that the Cheese Bites may be consumed as a snack on their own, or paired with crackers, fruit or nuts, or added to a salad.
