HAYWARD, CALIF. — Industrial machinery manufacturer Heat and Control acquired two brands in England that specialize in thermal processing and heat transfer equipment. Terms were not disclosed.
Heat and Control said the strategic acquisition of Tek-Dry Systems Ltd., and Hunt Heat Exchangers, which operate in Blackburn, England, strengthens its work to supply innovative and customized solutions that focus on yield, efficiency and safety.
Tek-Dry Systems specializes in advanced thermal processing technologies, with drying, toasting, cooling and roasting equipment. Hunt Heat Exchangers designs and manufactures customized heat exchange systems such as air blast coolers, exhaust economizers, gas-to-gas exchangers and thermal oil air heaters for processing industries.
Tony Caridis, president at Heat and Control, called the purchase a significant milestone for the company’s growth strategy.
“Tek-Dry Systems manufactures a broad range of thermal processing solutions that complement our existing range of products, allowing us to deliver even more innovative solutions to our global customers,” Caridis said.
The company also noted Hunt Heat Exchangers bolsters its international presence as a food manufacturing supplier of comprehensive thermal processing and heat exchange solutions.
Heat and Control shared that it collaborated previously with Tek-Dry on numerous projects and determined Tek-Dry’s “leadership, customer service and quality standards aligned perfectly” with the company’s approach.
“The addition of these high-quality solutions will allow our global sales network to confidently serve existing customers while also creating opportunities to expand into new markets,” Caridis said, adding Tek-Dry operates with a “a highly skilled, customer-focused technical team and a world-class manufacturing facility.”
