HEATH, OHIO — Women-led infant formula producer Bobbie debuted its newest product, an organic whole milk formula that the company said it spent three years developing.

Bobbie said its new USDA organic certified formula provides “quality, safety and reliability at a time when the US infant formula industry is facing continued uncertainty.”

The company noted that only 7% of infant formulas sold in the US are organic, while only 4% of formulas in the market use whole milk.

Chief executive officer and co-founder Laura Modi said Bobbie Organic Whole Milk Infant Formula is “the epitome” of what the business is about – “pushing the nutritional standards forward” and creating a “gold standard” for infant formula in the US.

“As a team of parents, we understand firsthand the importance of quality and reliability when it comes to feeding our babies,” Modi said. “No parent should have to choose between the two, and with this product, we can guarantee the best of the best on both fronts.”

The company noted its organic formula is made without synthetic pesticides, chemical contaminants, glyphosates or GMOs.

Bobbie also highlighted how key ingredients in its formula – naturally occurring milk fat globule membrane from whole milk, choline and “industry-leading levels” of DHA – support cognitive development. The company also explained that the naturally occurring fat in whole milk provides fatty acids like those in breast milk.

The production process for the formula, the company shared, involves more than 2,000 safety and quality checks at its Heath, Ohio, manufacturing facility.

The new organic formula launched online at Bobbie’s website and the company said it will debut at select retailers this summer.
