TORONTO — The Canadian divisions of international food manufacturers Lactalis and Nestlé connected on a new licensing agreement to develop the first frozen yogurt products for the iÖGO brand.
Lactalis Canada revealed the collaboration with Nestlé Canada includes a variety of new frozen desserts for Lactalis Canada’s iÖGO brand: four frozen yogurt bar flavors, four frozen yogurt tub flavors and three flavors of pops that are part of the iÖGO nano portfolio.
A division of France-based Lactalis Group, Lactalis Canada noted the new frozen yogurt products are made with real fruit and Canadian milk.
The iÖGO tubs launched in Canada with four flavors: vanilla, strawberry swirl, cherry swirl and blueberry swirl. The iÖGO bars debuted in four varieties: cherry swirl, blueberry swirl, strawberry cheesecake and raspberry cheesecake. The iÖGO nano pops arrived in three flavors: strawberry-banana, peach and mixed berry.
Lactalis Canada yogurt and cultured division general manager Adrienne Pagot-Gérault said the company wanted to leverage the popularity of its iÖGO brand to enter the frozen category with the help of Nestlé Canada.
“As we welcome the warmer weather, we’re excited to introduce Canadians to these new iÖGO and iÖGO nanö frozen yogurt products which combine the indulgence of a frozen treat with the nutritional value, quality and fun synonymous with iÖGO yogurt,” Pagot-Gérault said.
Added Nestlé Canada ice cream president Paul de Larzac: "Combining the trusted quality of Nestlé Canada with the innovative spirit and popularity of the leading iÖGO brand, we look forward to offering consumers a refreshing new way to enjoy their Canadian-made favourite yogurt flavors this summer."
