MONTRÉAL – Saputo Inc. announced the president and chief operating officer of its US dairy division, Lyne Castonguay, departed the company on June 29.

The company named Carl Colizza, president and chief operating officer (North America), the new leader of the US dairy division. Colizza will take on those responsibilities while also maintaining his previous duties.

Just as he had before, Colizza will report to Lino A. Saputo, who is chair of the board, president and chief executive officer for the company.

“After careful consideration, we have made the change to our leadership team as we focus on accelerating our operational performance improvements and further advancing our global strategic plan initiatives in our USA sector,” Colizza said. “The success of the sector remains a top priority and we are taking appropriate actions to deliver on our strategic priorities and improve our profitability. I would like to extend my heartfelt thanks to Lyne for her leadership and dedication to the company, and I wish her success in her future endeavors.”

Castonguay had been with the company since early 2021 and was named president and COO of Saputo’s US dairy division in November of 2021.
