LA FERTE-BERNARD, FRANCE – International packaging machinery manufacturer Serac recently announced its board of directors appointed Rose Graffin as chairman of the board and chief executive officer.

Previously the vice president of Serac, Graffin has worked for the company for 20-plus years. She replaces her late husband, Andre Jean-Jacques “JJ” Graffin, the company’s founder and chairman of the board for more than 50 years, who died in late 2021.

“I am honored by the trust placed in me by the members of the board of directors and, as I announced in the honor of my husband, I will do my best to be worthy of the responsibility and to preserve the Group Serac within the Graffin family,” Rose Graffin said. “With all the members of the board of directors of Serac Holding and all the directors of Serac Group, I count on each of you to continue to develop the group created by Jean-Jacques Graffin, to ensure its growth for the benefit of all its employees and shareholders, and I sincerely thank you in advance for your commitment.”

Serac designs, assembles and supplies packaging solutions to consumer packaged goods manufacturers, including dairy businesses. Dairy products processed on Serac machines include milks, yogurts, liquid cream, cheese, sour cream and more.

The French-based company has factories in six countries, including the US. Its CEO and chairman of the board, Rose Graffin, works out of Serac’s Illinois office when she isn’t travelling in support of Serac Holding and its subsidiaries.
