VANCOUVER, BC. — Daiya Foods, a manufacturer of plant-based pizzas, burritos and non-dairy cheeses, named Erin Legge its chief financial officer and Melanie Domer its chief marketing officer.

Legge will head the company’s finance and IT teams, while Domer will oversee the company’s development efforts as the leader of its consumer marketing and innovation teams.

“As the plant-based category continues to evolve, it is imperative to have strategic, results-oriented leaders who are passionate about the positive impact of the plant-based movement,” said Michael Watt, chief executive officer of Daiya. “With the addition of these two incredible leaders, I am confident Daiya is poised to tackle the next phase of growth as we pioneer breakthroughs, delighting all those who gather around the Daiya table.”

Prior to her new role, Legge was vice president of strategic projects and integration at Daiya. She also spent a combined 17 years in several leadership roles at George Weston Ltd. and Weston Foods, including vice president of compliance, senior director of strategic operations initiatives and director of finance and special operations. She holds a bachelor’s degree in physical education from McMaster University.

Domer was most recently vice president of large format sales for SC Johnson’s North American division. She also has worked in several leadership positions at Mars Wrigley, including vice president of customer marketing and senior director of North American new products and General Mills. She holds a bachelor’s degree in finance from Indiana University Bloomington and a master’s in business administration from Northwestern University.
