ST. PAUL, MINN. – Midwest Dairy introduced its new chief executive officer, Corey Scott. The checkoff organization said Scott, who is replacing retiring CEO Molly Pelzer, will start in her new role with the company on March 13.

Previously the vice president of sales and marketing for Athian, Scott’s experience also includes more than 15 years in various leadership positions with Land O’Lakes and its sustainability division, Truterra LLC.

GreenBiz named Scott to its list of 12 Women Cultivating Sustainable Food Systems in 2023. She also received a US Dairy Sustainability Award for her work to reduce dairy’s overall environmental footprint.

“I am honored to serve as CEO for Midwest Dairy and work on behalf of dairy farmers across our 10-state region,” Scott said. “I have worked with dairy farmers throughout my career and am always struck by the passion they show for their cows, the environment and our communities. I am incredibly grateful for the opportunity to lead such a respected organization and support the hard work of both staff and farmers.”

Scott earned her executive MBA and undergraduate degrees from the University of Minnesota and the Carlson School of Business.

Midwest Dairy represents 4,400 dairy farms and is funded by farmers from its 10-state region of Minnesota, North Dakota, South Dakota, Nebraska, Iowa, Illinois, Missouri, Kansas, Arkansas and eastern Oklahoma.
