FULLERTON, CALIF. – Liquid nitrogen ice cream maker Creamistry unveiled its newest menu concept, the Croffle, a croissant and waffle hybrid that comes ready to be covered with fresh cream, toppings and sauces.

Creamistry is first making the Croffles available in a test kitchen format at its Cerritos, Calif., location, with plans to introduce them at more of its ice cream shops later in the summer.

"Our new Croffles deliciously complement our fresh, made-to-order ice cream, shakes and other frozen treats," said the company’s marketing director, Kenny Cho. "Inspired by international dessert trends, this new treat can be enjoyed with your choice of any two toppings and a sauce atop a bed of fresh cream.”

The Croffles come in six signature varieties, including Strawberry Cheesecake, Cookie Butter Crunch and Chocolate Overload. Customers also have the option to build their own by choosing the ingredients to be added.

California-based Creamistry was founded in 2013 and began franchising in 2014. At its shops, made-to-order liquid nitrogen ice cream desserts can be customized with a wide variety of flavors, toppings and mix-ins. The franchise has more than 30 shops, with locations in California, Arizona, Texas, Louisiana and Georgia.
