ARDEN HILLS, MINN. – Land O’ Lakes cheese produced at the company’s Kiel, Wis., facility finally will be available to purchase in Wisconsin grocery stores.

The dairy manufacturer, which uses milk from Wisconsin farms in its cheese production, announced the debut of seven new cheese products. With the launch, Land O’ Lakes shared that this is the first time its cheeses will appear in dairy cases in Wisconsin, with Metro Market and Pick ’n Save locations carrying the products.

The varieties hitting dairy cases include Extra Sharp White Cheddar Cheese Chunk, Sharp Cheddar Cheese Chunk, Co-Jack Cheese Farmstyle Shreds, Mexican Blend Cheese Farmstyle Shreds, Sharp White Cheddar Cheese Farmstyle Shreds, Sharp Cheddar Cheese Farmstyle Shreds and Co-Jack Snack Cheese.

Land O’ Lakes senior cheese grader Steve Schnell said, "It means a lot to all of us at the Kiel facility to have the cheese we make available to purchase in the grocery store with the Land O’ Lakes brand on it.”

A farmer within the Land O’ Lakes cooperative, Amber Horn Leiterman added: "We are very active in our community and always get the question of where to buy the products that come from milk on our farm – and now we can point to the cheese in the dairy case section at our local store. We love being a part of the Land O' Lakes co-op because of the sense of community – and now we feel like we are showing up in our community that much more."
