Beginning in January, Unilever Ice Cream brands kicked off 2023 by launching a number of new ice cream flavors, frozen desserts and dairy alternative products for the country’s freezer aisles.
The premium ice cream maker’s newest concoctions both feature caramel in a starring role. The Double Gold Caramel ice cream bar flavor includes swirls of sea salt caramel, chocolate coating, caramel sauce and a caramelized chocolate with what the brand describes as a brown sugar crunch.
Plus, Magnum added to its Duet lineup with Caramel Duet Bars. Dipped both in dark chocolate and milk chocolate, the new bar has caramel ice cream and a caramel swirl inside.
One of the brand’s newest products is a dairy alternative frozen dessert – Breyers Non-Dairy Vanilla, which is made with oat milk. Per Unilever, the vanilla used in the product is sustainably sourced and the dessert has real flecks of vanilla bean.
The CarbSmart line also has a new addition, with the brand debuting its Vanilla Chocolate Strawberry combination in the carb-conscious format.
The popular candy maker is bringing a slew of new products to frozen aisles. For those who want to scoop out their Reese’s desserts, there are three options. Reese’s Chocolate features chunks of the brand’s signature cups, as well as peanut butter swirls. Reese’s Peanut Butter Light Ice Cream also includes peanut butter cup chunks and swirls. Reese’s Mini Pieces Vanilla Light Ice Cream comes loaded with bits of the small candies, mixed with swirls of peanut butter.
The frozen desserts from Reese’s also include new products in a variety of formats. Reese’s Peanut Butter & Chocolate Cones come in duo packs. The chocolate cones have peanut butter swirl drizzled with a chocolate coating, while the peanut butter cones are drizzled with a chocolate coating. Reese’s Peanut Butter Sandwiches have a peanut butter swirl in the middle of two chocolate wafers. Reese’s Peanut Butter Bar is covered with a milk chocolate coating, as well as cake crumbs.
Using cashew butter and oat milk instead of traditional dairy ingredients, the brand’s new layered, dairy-free gelatos come in four flavors: Blueberry Crumble, Caramel Toffee Crunch, Chocolate Fudge Brownie and Double Cookie Crunch.
The Talenti brand also is delivering traditional gelato in a new bar format. The mini bars are arriving this year in two new flavors: Vanilla Caramel and Dark Chocolate.
