KANSAS CITY, KAN. – Dairy Farmers of America has a new senior vice president of sustainability. The cooperative announced it hired Kevin O’Donnell for the role.
Per DFA, O’Donnell will be in charge of its sustainability activities and guiding DFA’s environmental, social and governance work.
Prior to joining DFA, O’Donnell worked for FTW Ventures, where he was the sustainability strategy advisor. Earlier in his career, he worked for companies such as General Mills, Nike, Chicago Manufacturing Center, Minnesota Technology, Inc., and the Minnesota Office of Environmental Assistance.
“Kevin is a proven leader with tremendous experience in sustainability, and we’re thrilled to have him join our senior leadership team,” said Monica Massey, executive vice president and chief of staff for DFA. “We continue to make progress on our commitment to produce sustainably made milk and other dairy products. Kevin’s knowledge and experience will be important in guiding our path forward.”
O’Donnell, who has degrees from Hamline University and the University of St. Thomas, said he is looking forward to helping the DFA and its farm families.
“Through customer partnerships, industry relationships and innovation, we have a lot of opportunity to advance our environmental stewardship on farms and in facilities,” he said.
