MADISON, WIS. – The Dairy Food Safety Alliance announced its next meeting will cover inspection observations in dairy plants.

The session, designed not only for food safety and quality professionals, but also dairy manufacturers, processors and industry suppliers, is scheduled for 10 a.m.-2 p.m. CST, on Oct. 18. The alliance is making the meeting available in a hybrid format – either in person in Sun Prairie, Wis., or online with Zoom.

The meeting will feature insights and good manufacturing practices updates form dairy processing consultants Jim Mueller and Larry Bell, as well as an update from the Wisconsin Department of Agriculture, Trade and Consumer Protection. A group discussion on the latest in food safety also is on the agenda.

A partnership between the Center for Dairy Research, Dairy Farmers of Wisconsin and Wisconsin Cheese Makers Association, the Dairy Food Safety Alliance is designed to give dairy processing professionals opportunities to learn about food safety research and regulatory practices in a useful manner.

The meeting costs $45 per attendee. Registration is available online through the WCMA website. For more information, contact the WCMA’s events manager, Kirsten Strohmenger, at kstrohmenger@wischeesemakers.org.
