MCLEAN, VA. – The Food Processing Suppliers Association (FPSA) developed a new design build network to connect professionals in that line of work as they look to innovate within the food and beverage industry.

FPSA chairman Brian Perkins, president of Provisur Technologies, credited FPSA members from the design build segment for significantly contributing to the association for years, pointing to their help with the live production lines every year at Process Expo, along with their educational sessions and service within various FPSA councils.

“By creating a network specific to design build, these members will have the chance to set their own agenda and address topics that they know are critical for the processor,” Perkins said. “We are confident that the substantive content that this important segment of our membership will have a ripple effect for all members, as well as the customer audience.”

David Seckman, president and chief executive officer for FPSA, noted the design build network is the association’s latest addition to its industry-specific groups, such as FPSA’s women’s alliance network, young professional group, packaging network, food safety network and technology network.

“Each network has its own leadership which establishes the group’s mission to not just address critical issues, but, perhaps more importantly, to collaborate with our industry councils and networks to ensure that all parties benefit from this substantive content regardless of what segment of the industry they work in,” Seckman said.

The first inaugural meeting of the design build network is scheduled for Process Expo, in Chicago later this month. FPSA shared that the group will choose its leadership and begin discussions on the most important topics for its members to address.

FPSA is a trade association created to serve suppliers to the global food and beverage industry.
