SUN PRAIRIE, WIS. – Automated cleaning technology manufacturer Sani-Matic, Inc., hired Pete Ensch as its new chief executive officer.

Ensch replaces former CEO Aaron Zell, who retired. Sani-Matic thanked Zell for his years of service, noting he will continue to make an impact as a member of the company’s board of directors.

The cleaning hygienic solutions supplier shared that Ensch’s background includes more than 30 years of growing businesses through innovation and engineered solutions. He recently sold a private equity-based automation controls company to a strategic buyer.

“I look forward to joining an organization with such a solid reputation in the industry, poised for so much future growth,” Ensch said. “Sani-Matic has done an excellent job of establishing a strong culture of safety and quality – it rivals what I’ve seen in world-class European companies. It is truly impressive.”

Ensch described himself as passionate about understanding customer and end-market needs, adding that “there is always time for a little more efficiency.”

Formerly the CEO for WEM Automation, New Berlin, Wis., Ensch also held leadership roles at Rexnord, Milwaukee, earlier in his career.
