ENGLEWOOD CLIFFS, NJ. — Unilever PLC’s Ben & Jerry’s brand is launching Topped, a new line of seven ice cream flavors covered with a chocolatey ganache.

The Whiskey Biz variety is a brown butter bourbon ice cream with blonde brownies and whiskey caramel swirls topped with white chocolatey ganache and white fudge chunks. The variety is produced in partnership with WhistlePig Whiskey, featuring the Vermont spirit makers’ WhistlePig PiggyBack Rye cooked into the caramel swirls. Each 2/3-cup serving contains 410 calories, 38 grams of sugar, 23 grams of fat and 5 grams of protein.

The Chocolate Caramel Cookie Dough flavor features chocolate ice cream with caramel swirls and gobs of chocolate chip cookie dough topped with caramel cups and chocolatey ganache. Each 2/3-cup serving contains 390 calories, 36 grams of sugar, 22 grams of fat and 5 grams of protein.

The PB Over the Top offering includes chocolate ice cream with peanut butter swirls and peanut butter cups topped with mini peanut butter cups and chocolatey ganache. Each 2/3-cup serving contains 430 calories, 32 grams of sugar, 30 grams of fat and 8 grams of protein.

The Salted Caramel Brownie option contains vanilla ice cream with salted caramel swirls and fudge brownies topped with caramel cups and chocolatey ganache. Each 2/3-cup serving contains 370 calories, 37 grams of sugar, 19 grams of fat and 5 grams of protein.

Ben & Jerry’s Topped Whiskey Biz ice creamThe Strawberry Topped Tart flavor features sweet cream ice cream with strawberry swirls and pie crust pieces topped with white chocolatey ganache and candy sprinkles. Each 2/3-cup serving contains 350 calories, 36 grams of sugar, 19 grams of fat and 5 grams of protein.

The Thick Mint variety contains mint ice cream with chocolate cookie swirls and mint chocolate cookie balls topped with chocolate cookies and chocolatey ganache. Each 2/3-cup serving contains 420 calories, 36 grams of sugar, 26 grams of fat and 5 grams of protein.

The Tiramisu offering includes mascarpone ice cream with fudge swirls and shortbread pieces topped with espresso fudge chunks and chocolatey ganache. Each 2/3-cup serving contains 370 calories, 37 grams of sugar, 21 grams of fat and 5 grams of protein.

“We wanted to dial up the indulgence level with this unique line of flavors, which entirely challenges how you eat this ice cream,” said Dena Wimette, Ben & Jerry's global innovation manager. “We started with sundaes and all the things you add to sundaes to make them great as our inspiration. You could say we ended up going over the Topped.”

Ben & Jerry’s Topped ice cream is available at retailers nationwide for a suggested retail price of $4.99 to $5.49.
