SAN DIEGO — Steve Figliola has been named chief development officer at Plant Power Restaurant Group, LLC, parent company of Plant Power Fast Food.

He joins the quick-service restaurant chain from Starbucks, where he was regional vice president, overseeing retail operations throughout Southern California and Hawaii. He also was international vice president of development at Papa Murphy’s and director of operations at Taco Bell.

Mr. Figliola is the latest in a string of restaurant industry veterans that have joined Plant Power, which launched in 2016 to cater to consumers looking for healthier and more sustainable fast-food choices. Other recent additions include Michele Lange, director of training and development, who joined the company from Chipotle Mexican Grill and Del Taco.

Plant Power offers a variety of burgers, fries and shakes made with 100% plant-based ingredients. It currently has 10 units, with six new units in active development and 20 additional units in its franchise development pipeline.

“Steve's extensive experience in operations and development with Fortune 500 companies is undoubtedly the perfect fit for Plant Power at this critical stage of our journey,” said Jeffrey Harris, co-founder and chief executive officer of Plant Power. “It’s his passion and excitement for the sustainability aspect of our mission and his focus on changing food culture that puts him head and shoulders above the many awesome people we spoke to.”
