GREEN BAY, WIS. – An upcoming forum hosted by the American Dairy Coalition (ADC) hopes to start building toward a “farmer consensus” regarding updated milk pricing strategies.

The ADC is inviting dairy farmers, as well as their state and national organization leaders, to participate in the webinar, “Future of Federal Milk Pricing Forum,” on February 15, from noon to 1:30 p.m. EST.

Discussions surrounding milk pricing also take place among cooperatives and processors, and the ADC is providing a forum that is focused on hearing directly from farmers, as well as leaders from dairy farmer organizations.

“As the industry attempts to update the federal milk pricing system, ADC wants to bring farmers together for early input,” said ADC chief executive officer Laurie Fischer.

“This is an important initial step in beginning a consensus-building process while ensuring the voice of actual dairy farmers is heard,” Fischer said. “When you register for the forum, please reserve a spot if you would like to speak and provide input on solutions to all webinar attendees.”
