TEL AVIV, ISRAEL – Animal-free dairy developer Remilk added Kobi Altman to its leadership team, naming him the company’s chief financial officer and secretary of the board of directors.

Altman’s professional career includes more than 25 years of executive financial experience. Previously, Altman worked as the executive vice president and CFO for ICL Group Ltd., a leading global specialty minerals company. He also served in executive finance positions for Teva Pharmaceuticals Ltd., including a span as CFO of Teva Generics, a $10 Billion medicines sales and manufacturing business. Prior to that, he worked in managerial finance roles for Amdocs Ltd.

"We are happy and proud to welcome Kobi Altman," said Aviv Wolff, Remilk's co-founder and chief executive officer. "The wealth of knowledge, experience and capabilities Kobi brings with him, applying decades of financial expertise developed at large, global companies are a significant contribution to our team as we accelerate Remilk's growth and charge forward, executing our mission of disrupting the entire dairy industry with our animal-free dairy."

Altman described himself as “thrilled” to join the food-tech company’s “fascinating journey.”

“As we just announced our plans to build the world's largest manufacturing facility of its kind in Kalundborg, Denmark, I'm truly excited to take part in the global revolution the company is leading, changing everything we know about dairy by crafting real dairy products that are environmentally friendly and animal-free to consumers around the world,” Altman said.

In April, Remilk revealed plans to build what the company described as the world’s largest full-scale precision fermentation facility in Kalundborg, Denmark.

The animal-free dairy company founded by Wolff and Ori Cohavi developed a yeast-based fermentation process that produces non-animal milk proteins for use in traditional dairy products.
