CHICAGO – Irish dairy producer Truly Grass Fed announced its natural sharp and aged cheddar cheese wedges are coming to Publix stores throughout the US.

The national retailer already carried Truly Grass Fed’s salted and unsalted butter foil packs, and began adding the sustainably produced cheddar cheeses to its dairy aisles in more than 1,300 stores in early October.

"We're pleased that Publix shares our commitment to bringing consumers great-tasting choices that are better for people, animals and the environment," said Eric Farr, regional development manager, US East for Truly Grass Fed. "We are delighted to introduce shoppers to our delicious, grass-fed cheddar from happy Irish cows at one of America's most popular stores."

The aged cheddar is aged for six months, while the sharp cheddar is aged for 12 months. Both come in 7-oz wedges.

The Truly Grass Fed brand first arrived in the US market in 2019 and has expanded its distribution since. Recent expansion also has included its butter becoming available at King Soopers in Colorado and Kroger in Atlanta, and its ghee clarified butter being distributed by Fresh Market.

Truly Grass Fed makes all of its dairy products with milk from cows in Ireland, where it works with 3,000 family farms. The farmer-owned cooperative, formerly part of Glanbia plc, is now known as Tirlán.

The cows are 95% grass-fed (average of one co for every two acres), per Truly Grass Fed, and its products are Non-GMO Project verified and free from growth hormones and antibiotics, as well as animal welfare approved by A Greener World. The company stated it is committed to regenerative farming practices and responsible production that is healthier for animals, the environment and consumers.
