LA FERTE-BERNARD, FRANCE – International packaging machinery manufacturer Serac announced the opening of a Mexico City office, further expanding the company’s international presence.

The France-based filling and capping machine manufacturer shared that its new office will enhance its ability to more efficiently serve its customers in Central America and South America. The Serac MidAm office will feature services related to the installation, maintenance and upgrades of its machines.

The company’s leaders said they identified Mexico and the region as key market areas for packaging machinery, with a growing demand for “high-quality and reliable” packaging machines.

"We are excited to expand our global footprint with the opening of our new office in Mexico," said Philippe Farrugia, executive managing director of Serac Group. "This office will allow us to provide better support to our customers in Central and South America and help us grow our business in the region."

Serac appointed Rodrigo Melo Sanfuentes as general manager of Serac MidAm. Nicolas Ricard, managing director of Serac Inc, in charge of the business development in the region, said Sanfuentes possesses “a wealth of experience in the manufacturing industry” and is excited to lead the company’s efforts in that part of the world.

Added Ricard: “I am confident that with our expertise and commitment to providing high-quality machines and services, we will be able to exceed our customers' expectations and continue to grow our business in this region.”

Serac in November 2022 opened an office in India and earlier this year acquired French manufacturer DOSELEC. The company has plants in the United States, France, Brazil and Malaysia, as well as sales offices in India, Indonesia, United Arab Emirates, Japan, China, Spain and Mexico.
