LE MARS, IOWA – Ice cream manufacturer Wells Enterprises, Inc. has two employees from its organization leading International Dairy Foods Association (IDFA) committees in 2023.

Wells shared that Brian Kraus, director of food safety and regulatory compliance, and Gregg Junck, senior manager of environmental health and safety, were selected to steer IDFA committees dealing with their respective areas of expertise.

“Wells’ history of food safety leadership has been recognized through this appointment as we collaborate with other professionals to discuss and help lead the industry in the future of food safety,” Kraus said. “Our goal is to ensure proposed Food and Drug Administration (FDA) policies can be actualized for the industry as a whole, as well as at the plant floor level.”

Per IDFA, its committees and group members work together with the association’s industry segment boards, and develop comments, guidelines and other materials for their fellow dairy industry professionals.

Dick Kennedy, senior vice president of operations and supply chain at Wells, congratulated Kraus and Junck on their appointments.

“We are so proud of them as they lead and support their IDFA teams while representing Wells and the ice cream industry,” Kennedy said. “Brian and Gregg are both experts in their specific fields and we consider ourselves fortunate to have such respected experts on our team.”
