CHARLOTTE, NC – Process technology equipment maker SPX FLOW, Inc., introduced a new solution from its APV brand that is designed to improve efficiencies for food and beverage manufacturers.

The supplier said its Plate Heat Exchanger Automated FastFrame was designed for processed food applications, as well as processes involving dairy, eggs and juice.

The equipment manufacturer said its FastFrame features an automated design that can shorten the time required to open and close a plate heat exchanger, doing the job in minutes.

Additionally, SPX FLOW shared that the equipment ensures consistent tightening across the plate pack, arrives with a user-friendly control and setup, and reduces downtime for maintenance and cleaning.

A previously released version of the FastFrame solution involves a powered wrench for opening and closing the frame, the company said, while the new version is automated.

"With a push of a button, our customers can now have even better control when cleaning and maintaining their plate heat exchangers,” said Samuel Glover, SPX FLOW’s global product manager for plate heat exchangers. “With more than 100 years in the plate heat exchanger industry, APV continues to work to make it easier, safer and more cost-effective overall for our customers."

The company also noted that the brand celebrated in 2023 the 100th anniversary of APV Group founder Richard Seligman first introducing the plate heat exchanger.
