FRANKSVILLE, WIS. – CSL USA INC., a supplier of ingredients and cultures for the food, beverage, and health and nutrition markets, announced it is opening a new custom fermentation facility.
The 80,000-square-foot biotechnology space in Franksville, Wis., has access to strains and technologies developed by Italy-based Sacco System, which produces ingredients such as food and bacterial cultures and probiotics for use in dairy, food, dietary supplements and other industries.
Partnering with Sacco System, an established international contract fermentation organization, CSL USA shared that it will offer US customers food ingredients, food cultures, bacterial cultures, probiotics and comprehensive fermentation services.
"The new CSL USA production facilities located in the United States will increase our flexibility to serve the needs of US customers, while increasing the global capacity for our worldwide customer base,” stated Kyle Griffiths, vice president of sales and marketing, CSL USA. “We believe that the creation of CSL USA will accelerate our efforts to grow in both the health and nutrition and the food and beverage markets globally as we bring new products and service to the US marketplace".
