SPRINGFIELD, MO. – Hiland Dairy found inspiration for its latest ice cream flavor at a theme park thrill ride in the Ozarks.

The farmer-owned dairy company unveiled its Fire in The Hole creation, named after a new indoor roller coaster at Silver Dollar City, south of Hiland Dairy’s Springfield, Mo., headquarters.

The newly launched ice cream features a marshmallow-flavored base, swirls of chocolate ribbons and pieces of graham crackers.

"The excitement surrounding the new Fire in The Hole family coaster has been contagious, and we are delighted to extend this experience to ice cream lovers across Hiland's markets,” said Sarah Carey, marketing manager for Hiland Dairy. “It's a flavor that not only celebrates the roller coaster but also the delicious taste of a s'more. We're inviting everyone to savor this new classic.”

Previously Hiland Dairy and the 1880s-themed Silver Dollar City collaborated on two other special ice cream flavors, Time Traveler and Outlaw Run.
