AMERSFOORT, THE NETHERLANDS — FrieslandCampina Ingredients launched Nutri Whey ProHeat, which it described as a heat-stable whey protein for the medical nutrition market.

The whey protein was formulated using microparticulation technology. Per FrieslandCampina, microparticulation involves a thermal treatment forming small aggregates, ensuring the whey proteins’ stability under high heat treatment conditions.

Nutri Whey ProHeat is available in liquid form that the company described as easy to consume, with a low viscosity, neutral pH and clean taste.

FrieslandCampina Ingredients developed the supplement to help medical patients maintain muscle mass while recovering.
